The irony is this, Indian scriptures are filled with Devi.Devi is not secondary.She is declared as: The source of all manifestations.The first visible expression of the Absolute.The dynamic force through which creation begins. Siva without Sakti is inert.

Every major Puranic and Tantric philosophy establishes Devi as AdiSakti the primordial power. Creation begins with Her.

And yet, over time, society began identifying power with physical force rather than with Sakti.

Why?

Because impurity entered the mind.

When consciousness declines,identification shifts outward.The mind begins to value what is visible and measurable, muscle, territory, control.Inner luminosity becomes secondary.This is not a scriptural fall.This is a psychological fall

The Root Cause Was Not Religion It Was Impurity of Mind When the mind loses sattva, it seeks control.When ego dominates, it fears what it cannot dominate.

Sakti cannot be dominated.So instead of elevating itself to match that power, society gradually attempted to structure and contain it.

This was not dharma.This was insecurity disguised as order.Dharma never denied feminine authority.But society, during unstable eras, prioritized survival over philosophical integrity.

The Important Understanding

We must be careful not to reduce this to blame.It was not “men versus women.”

It was a decline in inner purity.Whenever consciousness becomes tamasic or rajasic, imbalance follows in every civilization, not only in India.Yoga does not support domination.Yoga supports balance.

Yoga teaches that the Self is beyond male and female.The body is gendered.

Atman is not.

Final Reflection

Yoginis were not erased by scripture.

They were obscured by historical turbulence and collective psychological contraction.But truth does not disappear because it is less documented.Sakti does not vanish because society becomes unstable.

When sattva rises again, recognition returns naturally.The revival of feminine spiritual authority is not rebellion.It is restoration.

And restoration begins not in politics but in purification of the mind.
